More Information
Product Name Anti-Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV), Rep Protein
Description Adeno-associated virus (AAV) is a small virus which infects humans and some other primate species. AAV is not currently known to cause disease and consequently the virus causes a very mild immune response. Gene therapy vectors using AAV can infect both dividing and quiescent cells and persist in an extrachromosomal state without integrating into the genome of the host cell. These features make AAV a very attractive candidate for creating viral vectors for gene therapy, and for the creation of isogenic human disease models. Mouse Monoclonal Antibody to Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV), Rep Protein. Recognizes AAV replicase proteins Rep78 and Rep52 in human AAV-2-infected cells, no reaction with Rep68 and Rep40. Weak cross-reaction with AAV-serotype 3. The Rep proteins are expressed in different concentrations during infection.
Clone 76.3
Immunogen Rec.AAV-2 Rep 78 protein, N-terminally truncated by 171 aa
Isotype IgG1
Specificity Mab 76.3 reacts with Rep proteins (Rep78 and Rep52) of human AAV-2 infected cells, does not react with Rep68 and Rep40. The Rep proteins are expressed in different concentrations during infection.
