More Information
Product Name Sheep Anti-toxoplasmosis (IgM) Antibody ELISA Kit
Description Sheep Anti-toxoplasmosis (IgM) Antibody ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Sheep IgM. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Sheep IgM and analogues was observed. Toxoplasmosis (tok-so-plaz-MOE-sis) is a disease that results from infection with the Toxoplasma gondii parasite, one of the world's most common parasites. Toxoplasmosis may cause flu-like symptoms in some people, but most people affected never develop signs and symptoms. For infants born to infected mothers and for people with weakened immune systems, toxoplasmosis can cause extremely serious complications. This Sheep Anti-toxoplasmosis (IgM) Antibody ELISA Kit employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to IgM. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated IgM and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled IgM and unlabeled IgM with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of IgM in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
