More Information
Product Name Anti-DNA Monoclonal Antibody
Description Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule that encodes the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms and many viruses. DNA is nucleic acids; alongside proteins, they compose the three major macromolecules essential for all known forms of life. Most DNA molecules are double-stranded helices, consisting of two long biopolymers made of simpler units called nucleotides. The two strands of DNA run in opposite directions to each other and are therefore anti-parallel, one backbone being 3? (three prime) and the other 5? (five prime). Within cells, DNA is organized into long structures called chromosomes. AC-30-10 is a reliable positive control in assays for detection of DNA antibodies, especially for the detection of autoantibodies in autoimmune diseases. It can also be used for sensitive detection of mycoplasma contamination in cell cultures.
