| Specificity | This antibody recognises cAMP-dependent protein kinase catalytic subunit alpha, also known as PRKACA. The function and specificity of PKA C-alpha depend on subcellular localization, expression of isoforms and physio-chemical features (Søberg et al. 2013, Skalhegg and Tasken 2000). It phosphorylates a large number of proteins, for example, p50 at serine 337 , claudin-4 at threonine 192 (D'Souza et al. 2005). Dnajb1–Prkaca gene fusion drives tumorigenesis in mice. |
