| Specificity | This antibody recognises human IGFBP-9 (insulin-like growth factor binding protein- 9), also known as NOV/CCN3, a 326 amino acid cysteine-rich secreted regulatory protein and member of the CCN family, containing the domains IGFBP, VWFC, C-terminal cysteine knot-like and thrombospondin type I repeat.IGFBP-9 is an inducer of cell migration and adhesion and shows increased expression in Wilm’s tumours and nephroblastomas. In contrast, decreased expression of IGFBP-9 correlates with an increase in tumourgenicity in certain cancers including childhood adrenocortical tumors (ACT). |
