More Information
Product Name Anti-Desmoglein 3 Monoclonal Antibody
Description Desmosomes are cell-cell junctions between epithelial, myocardial, and certain other cell types. Desmoglein 3 is a calcium-binding transmembrane glycoprotein component of desmosomes in vertebrate epithelial cells. Currently, three desmoglein subfamily members have been identified and all are members of the cadherin cell adhesion molecule superfamily. These desmoglein gene family members are located in a cluster on chromosome 18. This protein has been identified as the autoantigen of the autoimmune skin blistering disease pemphigus vulgaris. Mouse Monoclonal Antibody to Desmoglein 3.
Synonyms PVA, CDHF6, DSG3
Clonality Monoclonal
Clone Dsg-G194
Immunogen Recombinant Recombinant human polypeptide Desmoglein 3 (C-terminal aa 920-940 VSIPDPLQHGNYLVTETYSAS)human polypeptide Desmoglein 3
Isotype IgG1
Specificity In immunoblots of cytoskeletal preparations from human epidermis the antibody reacts specifically with a 140 kD polypeptide typical for Desmoglein 3. In immunolocalization studies the mab shows typical staining of basal and lower suprabasal layers of the epidermis and special regions of fetal and anagen hair follicles. The staining pattern ob- served corresponds to those obtained with pemphigus vul- garis patient sera. Cross-reaction with Desmogleins 1 and 2 was not detected
Reactivity Human
Applications IHC, WB
