| Description | Rac2(Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 2), a small (21 kDa) signaling G protein, belongs to the family of Rho GTPases regulating a variety of biological response pathways that include cell motility, cell division, gene transcription, and cell transformation. Upon GTP loading, a conformational change takes place that allows Rac2 protein to interact with several downstream effectors that ultimately process the information and propagate the signal within the cell, causing changes in the actin cytoskeleton, release of inflammatory modulators and innate immunity. |
