| Reconstitution | This kit provides a simple, sensitive, rapid and colorimetric citrate synthase (CS) activity detection method, which is compatible with various biological samples, especially animal or plant tissues or cell cultures (adherent or suspension). CS catalyzes the reaction of acetyl CoA and oxamic acid to produce citamoyl coenzyme A, which is hydrolyzed to produce citric acid and coenzyme A; coenzyme A reacts with DTNB to tproduce yellow TNB. TNB has an absorption peak at 412 nm. The activity of citrate synthase activity is calculated by measuring the rate of increase in absorbance at 412 nm. |
