Bovine NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6 (MT-ND6) ELISA Kit
| Product Name | Bovine NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6 (MT-ND6) ELISA Kit |

| Description | Bovine NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6 (MT-ND6) ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Bovine MT-ND6. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Bovine MT-ND6 and analogues was observed. NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the mitochondrial MT-ND6 gene. The ND6 protein is a subunit of NADH dehydrogenase (ubiquinone), which is located in the mitochondrial inner membrane and is the largest of the five complexes of the electron transport chain. Variations in the MT-ND6 gene are associated with Leigh's syndrome, Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) and dystonia. This Bovine NADH-ubiquinone oxidoreductase chain 6 (MT-ND6) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate MT-ND6 in samples. An antibody specific for MT-ND6 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyMT-ND6 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for MT-ND6 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of MT-ND6 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |
