More Information
Product Name NBC1, 1-424aa, Human, Recombinant
Description Sodium bicarbonate cotransporters (NBCs) mediate the coupled movement of sodium and bicarbonate ions across the plasma membrane of many cells. This is an electrogenic process with an apparent stoichiometry of 3 bicarbonate ions per sodium ion. NBC1 has been identified as a key player for regulation of intracellular pH in several cell types. NBC1 Isoform 2 is specifically expressed in kidney at the level of proximal tubules. Recombinant human NBC1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography.
Synonyms Electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter 1, isoform2, SLC4A4, NBCE1, Na(+)/HCO3(-) cotransporter, Solute carrier family 4 member 4, Electrogenic sodium bicarbonate cotransporter 1, isoform2 DKFZp781H1314, hhNMC, HNBC 1, HNBC1, kNBC 1, Na+HCO3- cotransporter 4, NBC 1, NBC 2, NBC1, NBC2, Nbc4, NBCE 1, NBCE1, PNBC, SLC4A5, Sodium bicarbonate cotransporter kidney, sodium bicarbonate cotransporter member 4, Sodium bicarbonate cotransporter pancreas, Solute carrier family 4 sodium bicarbonate cotransporter member 4, Solute carrier family 4 sodium bicarbonate cotransporter member 5.
