| Description | Chicken Protein DGCR6 (DGCR6) ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Chicken DGCR6. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Chicken DGCR6 and analogues was observed. Protein DGCR6 (DGCR6) is a DiGeorge syndrome, and more widely, the CATCH 22 syndrome, are associated with microdeletions in chromosomal region 22q11.2. Protein DGCR6 shares homology with the Drosophila melanogaster gonadal protein, which participates in gonadal and germ cell development, and with the gamma-1 subunit of human laminin. DGCR6 is a candidate for involvement in DiGeorge syndrome pathology and in schizophrenia. This Chicken Protein DGCR6 (DGCR6) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate DGCR6 in samples. An antibody specific for DGCR6 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyDGCR6 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for DGCR6 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of DGCR6 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |
