| Description | Chicken Transforming growth factor β3 (TGF-β3) ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Chicken TGFB3. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Chicken TGFB3 and analogues was observed. TGF-β3 encodes a secreted ligand of the TGF-beta (transforming growth factor-beta) superfamily of proteins. Ligands of this family bind various TGF-beta receptors leading to recruitment and activation of SMAD family transcription factors that regulate gene expression. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate a latency-associated peptide (LAP) and a mature peptide, and is found in either a latent form composed of a mature peptide homodimer, a LAP homodimer, and a latent TGF-beta binding protein, or in an active form consisting solely of the mature peptide homodimer. The mature peptide may also form heterodimers with other TGF-beta family members. TGF-β3 is involved in embryogenesis and cell differentiation, and may play a role in wound healing. Mutations in TGF-β3 are a cause of aortic aneurysms and dissections, as well as familial arrhythmogenic right ventricular dysplasia 1. This Chicken Transforming growth factor β3 (TGF-β3) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TGFB3 in samples. An antibody specific for TGFB3 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTGFB3 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TGFB3 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TGFB3 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |
