| Description | Bovine RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 (TARBP2) ELISA Kit has high sensitivity and excellent specificity for detection of Bovine TARBP2. No significant cross-reactivity or interference between Bovine TARBP2 and analogues was observed. HIV-1, the causative agent of acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), contains an RNA genome that produces a chromosomally integrated DNA during the replicative cycle. Activation of HIV-1 gene expression by the transactivator Tat is dependent on an RNA regulatory element (TAR) located downstream of the transcription initiation site. RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 (TARBP2) binds between the bulge and the loop of the HIV-1 TAR RNA regulatory element and activates HIV-1 gene expression in synergy with the viral Tat protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms. RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 (TARBP2) also has a pseudogene. This Bovine RISC-loading complex subunit TARBP2 (TARBP2) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate TARBP2 in samples. An antibody specific for TARBP2 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and anyTARBP2 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a biotin-conjugated antibody specific for TARBP2 is added to the wells. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound avidin-enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of TARBP2 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured. |
